    Richard McCormack practices primarily in the areas of Industrial and Intellectual Property, Insurance and Commercial Law.

    Richard's particular areas of specialty include in the fields of industrial and intellectual property, insurance and commercial law, trade practices, sports law, equity and appellate work.

    He has appeared as counsel in the High Court in matters involving intellectual property (copyright and designs), insurance law, and also sports law. Richard also has appeared in the Federal and Supreme Courts throughout Australia in a diverse range of various matters concerning industrial and intellectual property, insurance, and commercial law matters, and appeals.

    His practice involves appearing in and advising upon matters which involve a wide range of technical and scientifically complex disciplines. Richard's areas of practice include advising in relation to the preparation of technical expert evidence for use in court proceedings and particularly in relation to patent opposition hearings in the Australian Intellectual Property Office (AIPO).
