Allen Evans practises in intellectual property, in technology-related matters, in public law and in broadly related matters.
Counsel has qualifications in law, engineering, computing, management & arbitration. He is a registered patent & trade attorney.
Before joining the Bar, Counsel accumulated over thirty years experience in intellectual property matters in the public sector, as an in-house lawyer & patent attorney, and in private practice as a solicitor & patent attorney. His public sector experience includes positions as a section head & as a hearing officer in the Australian Patent Office & as a departmental advocate before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

He is a member of the intellectual Property Society (IPSANZ),the Institute of Patent & Trade Marks Attorneys of Australia (IPTA) & the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (C I Arb).
