Zero Sam Partos joined the Bar after approximately 10 years experience as both in-house counsel and in private practice. After practising in Melbourne for 4 years, Zero spent a further 4 years in Sydney where he practised as sole in-house counsel for a listed company and as a contract manager with Optus during which he had substantial exposure to drafting and negotiating a range of contracts and advising on IP matters, employment, software licenses and construction contracts.

In private practice, Zero acted in a range of non-litigious matters and conducted cases in many jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court, Magistrates’ Court and VCAT. As in-house counsel, Zero advised on TPA, employment and IP matters as well as conducting litigation in the Federal Court.

Zero has a long standing association with the arts and during his time in Sydney provided pro-bono advice as a volunteer solicitor to members of the Arts Law Centre of Australia.

Zero returned to Melbourne in 2007 to take up a position as associate to His Honour Judge Murphy as a precursor to signing the Bar roll in November 2008.
