Since joining the Bar, Christine has been briefed in a variety of matters including, the Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission; matters on behalf of the Attorney-General, including reviews under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act; Victoria Police, including the Kerang inquest; and matters on behalf of the State Coroner, including Counsel Assisting the Coroner in coronial inquests. She has appeared in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in migration matters and appeared in a variety of WorkCover and compensation cases. Chris has a keen interest in all public law related matters as well as class actions.
Before coming to the Bar, Christine was the Associate to the Honourable Justice Cavanough of the Supreme Court of Victoria between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, she was a lawyer with Minter Ellison Lawyers. She practiced predominantly in the Human Resources/Industrial Relations Group where she represented both private companies and government departments on employment related issues, including administrative law matters.
Christine was the Convenor of Victorian Women Lawyers Inc between November 2007 and November 2008. She is currently the Vice President of the Australian Women Lawyers Board and Secretary of the Bar's Equality and Diversity Committee.
Christine is a LLB (Hons)/BA (Major in Politics) graduate of Monash University (2003).
