Profile:

Liza appears and advises in commercial matters, principally in property law, corporations law, insolvency law, equity and trusts, and wills and estates.

Liza has trial and appellate experience and has appeared in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, the High Court, County Court, Federal Court, Magistrates’ Courts and VCAT.

Liza is a member of the Commercial Bar Association and the Bar Library Committee, a past member of the Bar Council and a former assistant secretary of the Corporations and Securities Committee.

Liza has been a reporter for the Victorian Reports since 2004. In 2010, Liza was the editor of publications for the Victorian Women Lawyers and in 2006 edited Kaufman J, McNab S and Were D, Probate Practice Manual, a publication on the law of wills and probate in Australia.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Liza was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Byrne of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
